Get Involved

Volunteers on this program play an essential role in helping young women suffering from abuse. Participants will spend their time supporting the women and assisting the local staff as needed. Volunteers can be involved in teaching lessons in general education and also life skills such as tailoring, hairdressing, gardening, cooking, cleaning etc. Volunteers can also plan fun activities for the girls to help them have an enjoyable experience. Volunteers that have training in social work or counselling can develop one on one or group counselling sessions to help the women to cope with their pasts. This is a challenging but hugely rewarding placement for any volunteer.

Volunteers will contribute to a number of ways on this program and can expect to undertake the following tasks:

• Support young women in several ways
• Organize activities and provide skill-based training
• Work on awareness raising initiatives for the Rescue Centre
